NESD Head Start Program shall establish and maintain an outreach and recruitment process, which systematically ensures enrollment for funded classroom and home base placements regardless of race, sex, creed, color, disability, age or national origin.

2024 Federal Poverty Guidelines

These guidelines apply to the 48 Contiguous States and the District of Columbia and are used as part of our application process. For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $5,380 for each additional person.

Apply for Enrollment

To take part in the 2024-2025 school year, children need to be three or four years old by September 1, 2024. We make preschool available to families in or near poverty guidelines and do so at no charge to the families we serve.
